In November 2021, a cargo from several Ivanovo producers arrived in Africa, in Abidjan, the capital of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire.
Medical special clothing for doctors and surgeons were received by the Association of Private Clinics of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire (ACPCI), which includes about 100 private clinics from all over the country. They will also appreciate the white bed linen of the Ivanovo company, which can be used in their hospitals.
The management of the Association will demonstrate Ivanovo products to all its members. And in the future, if the medical staff of the clinics like the special clothing and bedding, they will be able to centrally place orders for Russian manufacturers.
The Business Practice Center «Leader» in this project performed services for the search for African buyers for SMEs in the Ivanovo region.
The first delivery of fertilizers to Africa from the Nizhny Novgorod manufacturer Volski Biochim LLC took place in March 2021. Half a ton of fertilizers were sold in a matter of days.
After the first batch sold out quickly, the Ivorian importer ("SIACI") decided to continue a successful partnership. For this purpose, the director of an African company (SIACI - International Commercial Company of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire) came to Russia. In July 2021, an agreement was signed for the second supply of 40 tonnes of fertilizers to Volski Biochim LLC.
On August 26, 2020, the Business Practice Center «Leader» (Russia) and the Association of Private Clinics of the Republic of Cote d'Ivoire (ACPCI) (Republic of Cote d'Ivoire) signed a Memorandum of International Cooperation in the field of healthcare.
The Association of Private Clinics of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire has about 100 clinics throughout the country. The head office of the Association is located in Abidjan.
Interaction will be carried out in the following areas:
- information cooperation,
- organization and implementation of events in the field of healthcare,
- provision of private clinics with Russian goods, services, technologies and equipment necessary for the development of healthcare in the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire.
The delegation of enterprises from the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire visited Nizhny Novgorod on 18-19 February 2020. Export entrepreneurs presented their products to the potential Russian purchaser companies. This is the third delegation from the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire which visits Nizhny Novgorod. The group of import enterprises visited Nizhny Novgorod in December 2019. They were interested in Russian products and technologies. Much interest was focused on building materials, maritime transport and agricultural fertilizers.
A contract was signed for the supply of fertilizers to Africa from the Nizhny Novgorod enterprise “Volsky Biochem” LLC, as a part of the third business mission of the delegation of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire. The representative of the Ivorian company S.I.A.C.I. Mr. Degni Kouassi Michel has specially arrived to Nizhny Novgorod for a second time to personally discuss the terms of cooperation and sign the contract.
The visit of the Ivorian company has been arranged by Business Practice Center “Leader”.
Business Practice Center “Leader” welcomed the delegation of businessmen from the African Republic of Côte d'Ivoire in Nizhny Novgorod on 18-19 February.
The Department of investment policy and foreign economic relations of Nizhny Novgorod city administration provided support for the event.
This is the third delegation from the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire which visits Nizhny Novgorod in the last half a year. Previous business visits have also been arranged by Business Practice Center “Leader”.
Businessmen from agricultural area represented the African delegation. They brought their own products which were presented to the potential purchasers from Nizhny Novgorod. The products included both familiar and unfamiliar in taste and appearance to our people cocoa products, nuts, coconut products, fruits and vegetables.
On 18th February a round table discussion on business cooperation among the entrepreneurs from the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire was conducted. The issues related to customs, logistics, financial estimates and intercultural differences among the representatives from both countries were discussed. The tasting of the African products ended the round table discussion. The second part of the program included B2B talks. The Ivorian entrepreneurs conducted about 10 talks with Russian companies; they exchanged contacts and agreed on further steps for the way forward.
On 19th February the Ivorian delegation visited Nizhny Novgorod enterprise "National Fruit Company". The African entrepreneurs had the opportunity to see the products assortment of the company and to see how a warehouse works, where food products can be kept in good condition for a long time. Then the Ivorian participants presented their products to the two large Nizhny Novgorod chain grocery stores. At the end of the visit both sides expressed their interests and discussed further actions on a future negotiation process.
The Ivorian delegation acquired some potential purchasers as a result of the business mission. In a few month it will be clear whether the contracts have been signed and whether we can expect the deliveries to Nizhny Novgorod from the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire.

The delegation of entrepreneurs from the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire visited Nizhny Novgorod on 4-6 December 2019 to purchase the products of export-oriented small and medium enterprises of Nizhny Novgorod region. The following companies from the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire were a part of the delegation: Аgrobatci (they were interested in buying fertilizers), Consortium Cristal (interested in buying building materials), Energy CI Provide Offers With Excellence (interested in buying gas cylinders, filling stations), GBC-goroka business conception (interested in buying cars and other vehicles).
On 4th December a round table discussion on cooperation “Nizhny Novgorod – Côte d'Ivoire” was conducted. General Director of Business Practice Center “Leader” and the trainer of the Russian Export Center Galina Pavlovna Kudryavtseva was a moderator of the round table. The head of the international and external economic cooperation department of the Department of investment policy and foreign economic relations Maria Igorevna Kondratieva welcomed the participants of the business mission. Ivorian companies prepared the following presentations: Côte d'Ivoire`s growing industries and import requirements from Russia. Financial system and import and export transactions of Côte d'Ivoire.
On the same day B2B talks with 17 enterprises from Nizhny Novgorod were conducted.
On 5th December 2019 Ivorian companies visited the following Nizhny Novgorod companies: Luidor LLC, Joint Stock Company Fleet, InTechPromEngineering LLC.
On 6th December 2019 a meeting with the administration of the Department of International Relations of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region was conducted to summarize the results of the business mission. On the same day the visits were arranged to the following companies: Gora LLC, GasServiceComposite Group of Companies, Volsky Biochem LLC.

The delegation of companies from People's Republic of China visited Novgorod region on 19-21 November 2019. Five representatives of Chinese enterprises which have the need for purchase of small and medium Novgorod region enterprises’ products took part in the business mission: science and technology innovative company Lomonosov LLC, Harbin (promotion of Russian foodstuff), Harbin Pixsis Technology Co., Ltd.(promotion of Russian foodstuff and medical devices), Harbin Xinhe Industry Co.,LTD (distribution of grain and fat-and-oil products), Heilongjiang Jianglong Group (tour operator), Heilongjiang Panathike Technology Development Co., Ltd.(electronic commerce).
On 19th November the Chinese delegation took part in II regional conference “Export is the basis of successful business” and conducted B2B talks with 17 enterprises from Veliky Novgorod. During the negotiations the representatives of Novgorod and Chinese enterprises discussed the peculiarities of Novgorod`s products, the export possibilities in China and the peculiarities of pricing and logistics from Veliky Novgorod to China.
On 20th November the Chinese delegation visited two manufacturing enterprises. The negotiations were conducted between the heads of Novgorod and Chinese enterprises.
On 21st November Novtourinvest Hotel Group organized an information tour for the Chinese delegation to present their real estate property and discuss the cooperation on the development of tourists routs between the Novgorod region and Heilongjiang province. In the course of the discussion it was observed that Novgorod is one of the most appealing tourist attractions and in addition to that it is located near St. Petersburg, so the routs can be united.

The delegation of companies from the Republic of India visited Veliky Novgorod region on 19-20 November 2019. Four representatives of Indian enterprises which have the need for purchase of small and medium Novgorod region enterprises’ products took part in the business mission. Those enterprises were Azee Buildtech Private Limited, J-Steel Systems Private Limited, The Maharaja Log Homes, ANS Legal and Business Services LLP. ANS Legal and Business Services LLP was also a partner in terms of organization the business mission.
On 19th November the Indian delegation took part in II regional conference “Export is the basis of successful business” and conducted B2B talks with nine enterprises from Novgorod.
On 20th November the Indian delegation visited two Novgorod`s enterprises to conduct negotiations on further partnership.
From March 27 to March 28, 2019, the official German delegation (25 people) headed by the authorized representative of the Saxony Economic Assistance Department in Russia Dr. Manfred Liebl visited the Nizhny Novgorod region. The group included representatives of 20 leading Saxon enterprises, aimed at cooperation with the Nizhny Novgorod business.
The program of the delegation’s visit to Nizhny Novgorod included a joint technology forum “Resource Efficient and Innovative Technologies for Modernization and Efficiency in Mechanical Engineering”, business negotiations on collaboration with Nizhny Novgorod companies (В2В) and visits to several industrial enterprises of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
On March 27, about 100 people attended the forum, including the German delegation, Russian business representatives, speakers and translators. 34 companies from Nizhny Novgorod came to the event in order to personally meet with potential Saxon partners and their proposals.
Dr. Manfred Liebl said that the priorities of Saxon’s business in developing cooperation with the Nizhny Novgorod region are engineering, metalworking and the automotive industry.
“For Russian enterprises it is also important that the production of many components be localized, so that our companies open their production facilities, including joint ventures, in Russia. Many Saxon enterprises are now thinking about opening their own production sites in the Nizhny Novgorod region,” said the authorized representative of the Saxony Economic Assistance Department in Russia.
In terms of innovative development, Saxony ranks second among the federal states of Germany. Main competencies: machine tool, printing, textile and special engineering. According to Manfred Liebl, Russian companies should develop cooperation in this very direction.
Olga Guseva, Director of the External Relations Department of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, noted that all doors are open for cooperation with Saxony, since the federal district does not support sanctions against Russia. In general, Germany remains in fourth place in terms of trade with the region. In 2018, its volume amounted to 670 million US dollars. At $ 120 million, Nizhny Novgorod entrepreneurs supplied products to Germany.
The forum ended with negotiations in B2B format between the Saxon and Nizhny Novgorod representatives of the industrial business. About 80 bilateral meetings were held.

On July the 29th 2016 there was meeting in Nizhny Novgorod region with Marc Scheurer, Director Location Promotion Switzerland in Russia, Swiss Business Hub Russia and Daria Shevchuk, Deputy Director.
Marc visited Nizhny Novgorod for the first time. That day was very hot and eventful. It was needed to discuss all questions about collaboration on 2016 and 2017 years with Galina Kudryavtseva, director of Business Practice Center Leader, to inform about changes in working strategy of Swiss Bussines Hub Russia, to see sights of ancient city.
Chiefs of the centers planed future together events. Between them they decided about meetings between representatives of different cantons and entrepreneurs of Nizhny Novgorod region, presentation of this Europe country as advantageous place for opening of representation and creating of new companie. The first such meeting will be in this year on November the 21th.

On January the 19th Nizhny Novgorod entrepreneurs had meeting with Austrian company Inoxia Lifesciences GmbH. Dr. Paul Meng, representative of the company, presented innovation technology of production of multi-chamber syringe. Thank to this technology syringe can be loaded with several medicine which interflow only in the moment of activation of syringe.
Austrian company is interested in collaboration with Russian one (which has industrial site in property) for production of such syringes.
Dr. Paul Meng explicitly presented his project for several interested companies from Nizhny Novgorod region. It was on January the 19th. On January the 20th he had individual meetings with directors of 3 Russian companies which were on the presentation on the previous day.
On October, 1 BPC Leader organized participation of a delegation from Nizhny Novgorod Region in Brokerage Event on KET’s in Strasbourg and B2B meetings. The event was focused on Key Enabling Technologies – KETs: Nanotechnologies and Advanced Materials, Biotechnologies, Advanced Manufacturing and Processing.
The delegation consisted of representatives of eight companies from Nizhny Novgorod and Sarov operating in the fields of automotive, medical, building, IT industries and consulting: Scientific and Technical Physics Center (Sarov), Magnetic Technologies of Sarov, Granit, Proma, EyeTech, МyFabrik, Multitechnologiyi, and Regional Center for Attraction of Investment.
The Russian delegation had a chance to meet not only with French potential partners, but also with representatives of companies from other countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, England, and Turkey.
The participants visited Region Alsace Headquarters, Chamber of Commerce of Alsace region, Alsace International agency, and Russian Consulate General in Strasbourg.
As a result of the business mission there are three contracts to be signed. Moreover, negotiations started in Strasbourg are continued and may result in more international contracts.
In April 2015 we organized participation of Nizhny Novgorod Region companies in a set of international industrial exhibitions in Celje, Slovenia. The exhibitions were focused on the following topics: industrial machinery and tools, plastics and chemical industry, welding and foundry, and graphics and packaging equipment.
Each participant of the Russian delegation had around 10 meetings with potential partners including both heads of local clusters and enterprises from different countries. Also the delegation was warmly received in the biggest Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and in the Embassy of Russia in Slovenia, which provided their kind assistance in contacts finding and informational support.
The Business-Mission resulted in a series of contracts. One company is working on opening a representative office in Slovenia in collaboration and with new-found partners, one more is discussing possibilities of selling their products in Europe, another one is choosing from a variety of offers which products to bring to Russia, and so on. Furthermore there are negotiations about a visit of Slovenian businessmen to Nizhny Novgorod.
12 Russian companies paid a business-visit to Wien looking for international partners. The delegation met potential clients, equipment suppliers, companies ready to localize their business in Russia, and infrastructure companies supporting business in Austria. There were organized visits to three Austrian enterprises and B2B negotiations in Austrian Chamber of Commerce, in Russian Center of Science and Culture. Furthermore, there was a round table with representatives of Austrian concerns.
As a result there were made at least 60 useful contacts. Three Russian companies are expecting reciprocal visits from the Austrian side and intensively negotiate on possibilities of cooperation. Also there are negotiations on technology transfer and manufacture localization in Nizhny Novgorod.
Business Forum of Finnish Companies in Nizhny Novgorod took place on February, 10. The event was organized by Finnish-Russian Chamber of Commerce and BPC “Leader” as a co-organizer. The Finnish business mission consisted of seven companies specialized in such fields as industrial machine building, air transportation, fiber-glass raw materials production, recycling and industrial cleaning and filtration of air and water. Also a consultant from the Finnish governmental company Invest in Finland informed Russian visitors of the Forum about investment and business possibilities in Finland.
BPC “Leader” provided the Finnish guests with a possibility to visit manufacturing sites of two prominent enterprises of Nizhny Novgorod Region and to meet the heads of these enterprises. Also there were organized meetings with representatives of building and construction companies of Nizhny Novgorod.

Mexican Ambassador Ruben BELTRAN paid a visit to NIPOM OJSC (Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod Region) on November 27, 2013. The visit held within the framework of the conference "Opportunities of cooperation between Latin America and the Nizhny Novgorod Region" was the first and a very important step in building cooperation between Nizhny Novgorod Region and Mexico.
The visit of Mr. Beltran to NIPOM was aimed at discussing new prospective markets, emerging opportunities and conditions of penetration into Latin American markets.
Another honorable guest of NIPOM was Nikolai NIKONOV, Deputy Minister of Industry and Innovations of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
During the meeting Igor LEONTIEV, director general of NIPOM OJSC, made a presentation of the industrial complex, equipment line-up, technical solutions offered by the company for energy efficiency and energy saving. He presented the achievements, the principal aspects of development and avenues of the enterprise to the Ambassador.
While the meeting was concluded in a solemn atmosphere, Ruben Beltran left a memorable message in NIPOM's Distinguished Visitors Book extending the following wishes to the company: "I am very happy that I had a chance to visit NIPOM. It is a perfect example of a modern company in the Nizhny Novgorod Region of the Russian Federation".
Within the framework of its Mecca-Ru business trip, a delegation of companies from Northern Italy visited Nizhny Novgorod on November 19-21. The purpose of the visit: to search for new options for cooperation between Russian and Italian companies in the field of construction, architecture and design. Italian participants, directors and owners of companies, engaged in project design, construction, decoration work, production of windows, doors, visited Nizhny Novgorod companies who are engaged in similar production.
It should be noted that the Italians were pleasantly surprised by the level of Russian technologies, Russian professional skills and the size of our villa communities. The following companies took part in the business missions:
Nizhny Novgorod companies showed a great interest in the Italian delegates. The meetings were cordial and at the same time very fruitful. The Italians did not go home empty handed. Besides the vivid impressions of Russian hospitality and Russian frosts, they obtained several design orders and agreements on continuation and development of the relations.
The Association of Economic Development of Hannover Region, hannoverimpuls (Germany) is dedicated to assisting foreign companies to enter the German Market via the Lower Saxony region.
In 2013, during a visit of the head of hannoverimpuls' International Project department, Doctor Hartmut Selle, we arranged a meeting with the director general of TSN-Elektro, a company based in Nizhny Novgorod. Consequently, TSN-Elektro concluded a contract with hannoverimpuls on conducting market research.
On June 17, 2013 Nizhny Novgorod was visited by the delegation of Saxony Land, Germany, led by Doctor Manfred Liebl, a representative of Saxony's economy in Russia. The German business mission consisted of leading managers and specialists from 10 companies representing mainly engineering and metal working as well as Lars Georgi, coordinator of VEMAS (Saxony's Mechanical Engineering Network).
The business part of the program began with a visit to Avtokomponent Industrial Company CJSC, one of the leading Russian producers of motor components and spare parts both for domestic and foreign companies. The German guests gave a high assessment of the organization for motor components production. The Russian specialists were also attracted the German technologies in the fields of coating application and manufacturing press-forms.
The next visit was made to Mechanical Works LLC. This Nizhny Novgorod enterprise is a major manufacturer of vans and special purpose vehicles. Its partners include GAZ, MAZ, KAMAZ, Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Volkswagen and other automakers. The hosts acquainted the participants of the forum with the plant's equipment, types of manufactured vehicles and outlined an avenue of cooperation with the German firms. The format of the dialogue allowed both countries to receive the necessary information.
A business dinner concluded the event at the mission of Saxony's companies in Nizhny Novgorod. Igor Sazonov, Senior Deputy Minister of Industry and Innovations of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, presented the military and economic potential of the region and investment opportunities to the German delegation.
The representatives of German firms spoke of their achievement in innovation and resource saving technologies, reengineering, applied researches and developments for industry. In its turn, Russian party presented a new industrial property in Pavlovo. The Saxony's company could join its technological retooling. The event was crowned by business communication between representatives of Nizhny Novgorod business (about 25 companies) and German enterprises. As a result of the meeting, the companies made declarations about their projects including third markets.
A delegation of the Finnish Republic visited Nizhny Novgorod on March 4-7, 2013. Among the participants of the mission there were 7 Finnish companies representing various branches: mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, and construction. The business mission was organized by Finpro Trade Center at the Consulate General of Finland in St. Petersburg on the part of Finland and by the Business Practice Center "Leader" on the part of Nizhny Novgorod. The program of events within the framework of business mission of the Finnish Republic in Nizhny Novgorod included: March 5, 2013 - Workshop "Investment opportunities of Nizhny Novgorod Region and bilateral business meetings (contact exchange). Over 60 representatives of Nizhny Novgorod business attended the workshop and contact exchange, which stimulated interest in joint projects. The workshop on this topic was organized at the request of the Finnish Party in order achieve a fuller understanding of how business should be conducted in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Among the workshop speakers there were the heads of enterprises carrying out joint business with representatives of Nizhny Novgorod.

French guests visited the architectural and design bureau, elite furniture and building materials parlors. The congress hall of Alexandrovsky Sad Hotel hosted a press conference and a contact exchange for architects and designers of Nizhny Novgorod and the French companies.
